AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 18-11-2 and 18-12-11 of the Revised
Ordinances. of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to requirements for
sale or manufacture of ice cream and ice cream manufacturers' fees.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 18-11-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to requirements for sale or manufacture
of ice cream be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 18-11-2. Frozen or Mixed - Permit Required. It
shall be unlawful for any person to freeze or manufacture
on the premises he occupies within South Salt Lake City any
ice cream mix or any other frozen milk or cream product un-
less such person shall be the holder of a permit therefore
issued by the Director of the Salt Lake City-County Health
Department, or his authorized representative."
SECTION 2. That Sec. 18-12-11 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to ice cream manufacturers' fees be,
and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 18-12-11. Fees for Freezing or Manufacture. All
persons who manufacture or freeze ice cream, ice cream mix,
frozen milk or other cream products shall be required to pay
to the Board of Health on or before the tenth day of each
month for the preceding calendar month for deposit with the
Treasurer of Salt Lake County, the following sums:
Persons who produced during the preceding year:
Less than ten thousand gallons $ 3.00 per month
Up to thirty thousand gallons 7.00 per month
Thirty thousand to seventy-five
thousand gallons 10.00 per month
Over seventy-five thousand gallons 16.00 per month"
SECTION 3. In the opinion of said Salt Lake City Board of Commis-
sioners it is necessary to the peace, health, safety and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
