Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 151 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to sanitary inspection, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: • SEC. 151 (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to de- posit garbage or market waste in the same receptacle with ashes, cans, bottles, trade waste, or other similar refuse. Garbage and market waste may be deposited in one receptacle. It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit tin cans, other than paint, oil, varnish and conical top beer cans, in the same re- ceptacle with ashes, bottles, trade waste or other or similar refuse. It shall be unlawful to place any tin cans, other than paint, oil, varnish and conical top beer cans, or any receptacle containing the same, upon any public street or alley of Salt Lake City for the purpose of having the same collected by the 1 city. Stove ashes, cans not hereinabove prohibited, bottles, ; t lawn clippings and similar refuse may be deposited in one t receptacle. (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit garbage or other wet refuse in wooden boxes, barrels, or paste board cartons. All such receptacles, when used as containers for gar- bage or wet refuse, shall be considered refuse and removed by the garbage collector. (c) It shall be unlawful for any person to place or cause to be placed upon any street or alley for the purpose of collec- tion or otherwise any loose paper, excelsior or similar trade waste. All such trade waste must be baled or placed in sacks securely tied before collection is made. 3 _2_ SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, pit is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately`. SECTION 3.
