AN ORDINANCE-- -
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 50-7-20 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to fees for weighing vehicles.
Be it ordained by the ,,Bpard of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sectibrr50-7-20 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965,'_s'elating to fees charged for weighing
vehicles, be, and the same hepeby is, amended as follows:
"Sec. 50-7,.-2;0. ' Fees:> ;The fees for weighing vehicles,
trucks, trailers and egYl,'ipment over the city scales shall be
as follows:
0 to'20,000 lbs. $ 1.00
20,000 to 40,000 lbs. 1.50
40,000 and above 2.00
If weighing, measuring or counting is to be done at other than
the regularly established city weighing station the person request-
ing such service shall pay, in addition to the regular fees,
such costs as the sealer of weights and measures and petroleum
inspection may assess based upon the reasonable expense involved
in performing such service elsewhere.
All fees so collected will be reported and turned in to the
Salt Lake City Treasurer."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first pub-
lication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 7th day of January , 1975.
