Green Stewart Mr. Chairman._ Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 432 of Article XI, Chapter VIII, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1920, with relation to theatres. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners ot Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That Section 432 of Article XI, Chapter VIII, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1920, relating to theatres, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 432. RESTRICTIONS AS TO USE OF BUILDING. No portion of any building hereafter erected or altered, used or intended to be used for theatrical or other pur- poses covered by article XI of this Chapter, or any motion picture house having a seating capacity of three hundred or more persons, shall be occupied or used as a hotel, boarding or .rooming house, factory, work shop or manu- factory, or for storage purposes, except as may hereafter be specially provided by ordinance. paid restriction rem lates not only to that portion of the building which con- tains the auditorium and the stage, but applies also to the entire structure in conjunction therewith. Stores or shops for the sale of goods shall be permitted on the ground floor. No lodging accommodation shall be allowed in any part of the building communicating with auditorium. No license for operation of rooming house shall be grantee€ in any building which comes within the provi- sions of this section. SECTIGN 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,i it is necapssry to the pea4e, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that thi8 ordinance become effective immediate- ly. II SECTION 3.
