Keyser Matheson - - - - Murdock - - - - Mr.Chairman - - - - _ AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro- perty in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension Ao. 480) for the pur- pose of constructing a sewer. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 480) for the purpose of constructing a sewer, towwit: Lots 6 to 11 incl. of Blk. 5 - 5 Acre Plat B - Big Field Survey; S. W. * of S.E.* of Sec. 11, N.W.4 of N.E.* of Sec. 14, S. z of Sec. 11 and N.* of Sec. 14 - T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S. L. B. & M.; abutting on and adjacent to both sides of 8th West Street from 13th South Street to 1645 ft. south, and California Avenue from 8th West to Jordan River, and the south side of 13th South Street from 7th to 8th West Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing sewer laterals of first class sewer pipe eight (8) inches in diameter a distance of 2775 feet and 1142 feet of ten (10) inch first class sewer pipe, including manholes, flush tanks, and Ys for house connec- tions, all complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinafter and hereinbefore described to be especially af- fected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially bene- fited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels of land are hereby tssessed at a uniform rate in accordamce with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth of the same ownership back therefrom not exceeding 330 feet, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Six Thousand -2- Ten and 71/100 ( 6010.71) Dollars; Four Thousand Nine Hundred five and 15/100 ($4905.15) Dollars or 83/100 ( .83) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for hall rate, there being 5909.82 feet abutting said improvement; One Thousand One Hundred five and 56/100 ($1105.56) Dollars or One and 66/100 ($1.66) Dol- lars per front or linear foot of abutting property for full rate, there being 666.00 feet abutting said improvement; which is the to-; ijtal abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contracts entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and' directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordi- nance for the purposes herein mentioned: HALF RATE. Beginning at a point 60 ft. west of the intersection of the south line of California Avenue and the west line of 8th West -3- 1 Street, thence west 88.5 ft.; beginning at a point 160.5 ft. west 1 1 of the intersection of the south line of California Ave. and the west line of 8th West Street, thence west 400.5 ft.; and beginning ( at the intersection of the south line of California Ave. and the west line of 9th West Street, thence west 858.0 ft.; in part of N. 1/2 of Sec. 14, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S. L. B. & M. FULL RATE. Fronting on the south side of 13th South Street. The east 666 ft. of the west 726 ft. of Lot 11, Blk. 5, 5-Acre Plat "B", Big I''ield Survey; as the same are shown upon the I;official plats of said city to the entire depth of the same owner- ship back from said streets and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City ; Treasurer as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of { Equalization and Review of the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 480) ofl 'Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon said portions of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the °Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners of bSalt Lake City are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal yearly! 1 linstallments as provided by law and ordinance, with interest on the �iwhole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at �i the time each installment is due; provided, however, that one or more of such installments in the order payable, or the whole tax, may be paid without interest within fifteen (15) days from the date, ' this ordinance becomes effective. One or more installments in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax, may be ( paid after said fifteen days and before the first installment be- 1 ncomes due by paying the same with interest from the date of levy to the date such first installment is due. One or more installments lin the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax, may be paid on the date any installment becomes due by paying the lamount thereof and interest to the date of payment. Default in the payment of any such installment of principal or interest when due shall cause the whole of the unpaid principal and interest to become 1j -4- �Fdue and payable immediately and the whole amount of the unpaid prin is `cipal shall thereafter draw interest at the rate of ten per cent pex annum until paid, but at any time prior to the date of sale or fore- closure, the owner may pay the amount of all unpaid installments past due with interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum to date Oof payment on the delinquent installments, and all accrued costs, Land shall thereupon be restored to the right thereafter to pay in installments in the same manner as if default had not occurred. it 1 SECTION 4.
