Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, State of Utah:
Section., I. 'Any'person, persons, firms association or corporation

w}o shall smll, iue, or furnish, any cigars, cigarettes, or tobacco in
any,form, or any opium or. any other narcotic in any form, to any person
under eight ;en,years of/a-e, within the limits of Salt Lake City,shall
be guilty oP+ arv`pnisdemean. r, and,'-upon conviction therecf,shall be fined
in any ;sum not less than Dollars, nor more than

Une Hundred Dollars, or he imprisoned for a term of not less than

Section, 2. Th:2 provisio e. of this ordinance shall not apply to
the use, sale, giving,or furnishing; of any narcotic upon the prescription ',
of a regularly licensed physician.

and after its passage and approval.
