An ordinance providing when special taxes shall be payable; as
to issuing warrants and scrip for special improvements, and es to
interest thereon.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That all special taxes shall become delinquent as
follows:
A. For paving, in ten equal installments, to..wit, one-tenth
thereof thirty days after the approval of the ordinance levying such
tax; one-tenth thereof in one year after such approval; one-tenth
,thereof in'two years after such approval; one»tenth thereof in three
! years after such approval; oneetenth thereof in four years after
i such approval; one-tenth thereof in five years after such approval;
one«tenth thereof in six years after such approval; one-tenth there-
of in seven years after such approval; one-tenth thereof in eight
: years after such approval; and one-tenth thereof in nine years after
such approval.
• B. For sidewalks, sewers and all other special taxes, in five
equal installments, to-wit: one-fifth thereof thirty days after the
approval of the ordinance levying such tax; one-fifth thereof in one
year after the approval of such ordinance; one-fifth thereof in two
years after such approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after
such approval; and one-fifth thereof in four years after sash
approval.
SECTION 2. Each installment of any specie l tax except the
first, shall_ draw interest from the date of the approval of the ordi-
nance levying such tax until delinquency, at the rate of six (6) per
cent par annum; and after delinquency, each installment, including
the first, shall draw interest at the rate of eight (d) per cent per

for scrip, at the option of the contractor, but such option shall. be
'expressed in the contract; if special tax warrants shall be issued,
said contracts shall provide for, and such warrants be drawn and
flissued in such way that the first installment of the tax shall not
draw interest until the same becomes delinquent; if scrip be request-
