Green Neslen ;✓` // Scheid Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on Crystal Avenue between Highland Park Drive and Thir- teenth Bast Street, in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Bxtensiou / Be. 139), for the purpose of providing for the grading, ourbing and guttering, constructing private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections, and paving thereof. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SBCTIOB 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the sans upon the property hereinafter desoribed in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Bxtenaion No. 139), for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering, constructing private driveways, installing water services and sewer connec- tions, and paving- thereof, to-wit: In Lots 46 to 73, inclusive, Highland Park Plat "A" Sub- division, in Sections -20 and 21, Township 1 south, Bangs 1 east, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, abutting on both sides of Crystal Avenue between Highland Park Drive and Thirdeenth Bast Street. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, constructing private drive- ways, installing water services and sewer connections, and paving with reinfotoed concrete (said pavement to be thirty (30) feet • ! ! { II � Q between oarbs and from five (5) inches in thickness at curbs to seven (7) inches in thickness in the center), the portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said im- provement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and establishe that said property will be especially benefited thereby to thi full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in a000rdance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet beak therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is six thousand three hundred twenty-three end 55/loo ($6,525.35) dollars; five thousand nine hundred nine and 55/100 (45,909.35) dollars, or six and 6/100 (46.06) dollar: per front or linear foot of abutting property for said thirty foot roadway, there being 975.14 feet of abutting property; imp hundred fifty (4150.00) dollars for private driveways, or thirt (450.00) dollars for each private driveway, there being five private driveways; thirtyrnine ($39.00).dollars for water servi es, or thirteen ($15.00) dollars for each water service, there bei. three water services; and two hundred twenty-five (4225.00) dollars for sewer oonneotions, or twenty-five (425.00) dollars for each sewer connection, there being nine sewer connections, the coat of the construction of which private driveways, and the cost of the installation of which water services and sewer connections , and the property benefited thereby is hereinafter set out, and all within the boundaries of the lots, block and street above mentioned in said district, which is the total cos • and oast per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with Parrott & Christofferson, dated the 14th day of March, 1919, and the Treasurer is hereby -h- 4iikit211.3.i Ps F 4.o* autherisid. and direoted:to assess, in accordance with the pro- visions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: Thirty Poet Roadway. I 'One or more of said installments, in the order in which thry are parable, or the whole speeial tax, nay be paid at any time withi thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax beocme s effective, without interest. In the event of any instal i tent or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the ' same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall beoome duel land payable, and shall draw interest at the r$te of eight per sent per annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided,. one or more installment*, in the order in which they are payable, for the whole special tax unpaid, nay be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and interist w to said date.
