AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Sewer District No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 481) for the pur-
pose of constructing a sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District
No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 481) for the purpose of constructing a
sewer, to-wit:
Lots 15, 16 & 17 of Blk. 1 - 5-Acre Plat A; Lots 9
to 26 incl. of Blk. 1, Lots 1 to 13 incl. of Slits. 2 and 7
and Lots 1, 2 and 14 to 26 incl. of Blk. 8, Muscatine Place
Sub, of Blk. 8, - 5 Acre Plat B; Lots 7 to 28 incl. of Elk.
2, Lots 1, 2 and 5 to 26 incl. of Elk. 3 of East Westminster
Add, and Lots 6 to 9 incl., Lots 33 to 56 in¢1. and Lots 59
to 80 incl. of Sunnyside Add, of Blk. 9 - 5 Acre Plat C;
Big Field Survey; abutting on and adjacent to both sides of
Westminster and Redondo Avenues from 15th East to 16th East
Streets; Dalton Avenue from 7th test to Jeremy Street;

This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
a sewer of first class sewer pipe eight (8) inches in diameter a
distance of 3600 feet and 400 feet of four (4) inch first class
sewer pipe laterals, including manholes, flush tanks and Ys for
house connections, all complete, upon the portions of said streets
opposite the property hereinafter and hereinbefore described to be '

especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is
hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will
1be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax here-
) by levied and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform
rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon and to the
entire depth of the same ownership back therefrom not exceeding
330 feet, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said
parcels of land is Four Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-seven and
03/100 ($4687.03) Dollars; Three Thousand Eight Hundred fifty-eight
and 37/100 ($3858.37) Dollars or 83/100 ($.83) Dollars per front
or linear foot of abutting property for sewer assessed at half
rate, without laterals, there being 4648.64 feet abutting said im-
provement; and Eight Hundred twenty-eight and 66/100 ( ,828.66)
II Dollars or 90/100 ($.90) Dollars per front of linear foct of abut-
ting property for sewer assessed at half rate, including laterals,
there being 920.73 feet abutting said improvement; which is the

SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
, Ilcualization and Review of the property descrited in Section 1 of
this ordinance in Sewer District No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 481)
of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of constructing a sewer upon said
portions of said streets, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments

SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal yearly
; installments as provided by law and ordinance, with interest on the
, whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at
the time each installment is due; provided, however, that one or
more of such installments in the order payable, or the whole tax,
may be paid without interest within fifteen (15) days from the date;
this ordinance becomes effective. One or more installments in the 1

paid after said fifteen days and before the first installment. be-

i costs, and shall thereupon be restored t the right thereafter to
1 pay in installments in the same manner as if default had not occur-c
red.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day after;
its publication.
