An ordinance amending an ordinance requiring the use of fenders
on street oars, passed by the City Council November 10th, 1902, and
approved by the Mayer November 13th, 1902.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Seetion 1 of an ordinance entitled "An ordi-
nanoe requiring the use of fenders en street oars," passed by the
City Council November l0th,.1902, and approved by the Mayer November
13th, 1902, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SLCCfiION 1. All persons, associations or corporations
new er,hereafter swains er eperatinf street railways in Salt
iu.(y,
Lake CityAby eleetrioitr, sable or other motive power, shall
provide all of their ears, except snow plow cars and sweeper
ears, now or hereafter in use, with fenders projecting beyond
the front platforms of such cars, and designed to catch and
sustain and prevent injury to any human being who may be in
the way of sueh oar; pflovided, that when two or more cars are
ooupled and operated ant run together, such fenders shall be
attached to the first or leading ear, but need net be attached
to the ethers.
All sueh oars shall be equipped with such fenders on or
before June 1st, 1903.
SECTION 2. This erdinanee shall take offset upon approval.
