An owdins nce levying a tee: and for the aseo<s:,mnnt of property in
the territory included between South Temple and Ninth South Streets,
;and from the intercepting Sewer east to Second ;Jost Street, in Sewer
District No. 2, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Uteh:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
(described in Sewer District No. 2, for the construction of sewers,
to-wit:
In Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 12, flat "A", abutting on the south
side of Seventh South Street between Second West and Third West
( Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing vitri-
Ified pipe sewers six (6) , eight (8), ten (10) , twelve (12) and six-
teen (16) inches in diameter upon the portions of said streets oppo-
site the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especi-
ally affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby ad-
judged, determined and established that said property will be especi-
ally benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied,
and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform
rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions
of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet
back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon
said parcels of land is one thousand three hundred eighty-three and I
4/100 (41,383..4,],1 dollars, or two and 2678958/10,000,000 ( 2.26789584
dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer on •
side of streets, there being 610 feet of abutting property within the;
boundaries of the lots, block and street above mentioned in said. dis
!trict, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said sewer,
laccording to the contract entered into for the performance of said
work and making said improvement, with James Kennedy Construction
Company, dated February 7, 1910, and the Treasurer is hereby authorizSAI

and directed to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordi-
nance for the purpose herein mentioned:
Sewer on Side of Streets.
The east 140 feet of the north side of Lot 5, the north side of
Lots 6 and 7, the west 140 feet of the north side of Lot 8, Block 12,
Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the offi-
cial plats of said city tag to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back
from said street, and to collect said. tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax,sh&ll:beeome &nd be delinquent in five equ
yearly installments, with- interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rat
of six per cent per:afmua, ayable at the time each installment is d
to-wit; One-fifth thereof one year after the approvel of the ordinan e
confirming the levy of, the tax for the payment for such improvement;
one-fifth thereof in two years after such approval; one-fifth thereof
in three years after such approval; one-fifth thereof in four years
after such approval; and one-fifth thereof in five years after such
approval. One or more of said installments, in the order in which
they are payable, or the whole special tax may be paid at any time
within thirty days after the approval of the ordinance confirming the

levy of the tax, without interest. In the event of any installment
!or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the some becomes
,due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said in-
stallment and interest are due, shall become du.e and payable, and sha�i1

draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale
of the property assessed; provided, one or more installme:ntr:,, in the
order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid may
be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by as.yine the amount
,thereof and interest to said. date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
