Green Stewart de Mr. ✓Chairman f r Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE EM2I DING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY. WHEREAS, on the 6th day of Februawy, A. D. 1922, the owner of the real property in the tract of land hereinafter described, said owner being Salt Lake City, a municipal corporation of the State of Utah, signed and filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, a petition requesting that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Salt Lake City and be made a part of said city, and also causedan accurate map and plat of said tract of land to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor, and approved by the city engi- neer, to be filed with the city recorder; and WHEREAS, the said tract of land is contiguous to Salt Lake City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to, and made a part of, said city; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, after examining said petition of said owner of said tract of land,and con- sidering the circumstances thereof„voted by unanimous vote of all members of said board in favor of annexing said tract to Salt Lake City and directed the city attorney to prepare an ordinance making and declaring said annexation; Therefore, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the city limits of Salt Lake City be,and the same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the follow- ing described tract of land in Salt Lake County, to-wit: Beginning at the N. W. corner of Lot 9, Block 30, 33 { Ten Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey, running thence North 58.0 feet; thence east 1518.0 feet; thence south 1239.4 feet; thence west 999,5 feet; thence south 254.1 feet; thence east 240.5 feet; thence south 287.1 feet; thence west 555.5 feet; thence north 574.2 feet; thence west 203.5 feet; thence north 1148.4 feet to place of beginning, containing 48.5 acres and. being all of Lots 8, 9, 10 and 11 and part of Lots 7 and 12, Block 30, 10 Acre Plat "A", Big Field. Survey, and that portion of 27th South Street between 5th and 7th East Streets. And be it further ordained and declared that when this ordinance takes effect, the said tract of land above described shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of said Salt Lake City, and be a part of said city;and all ordinances, juris- dictionsi rules and obligations of or pertaining to said Salt Lake City are extended over and. made applicable and pertinent to the said, tract of land,and the streets, blocks, alleys and ways of said tract shall:.be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and regulations of said. City in that behalf, and the monu- ments of the City Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standard of locations and distances. SECTION 2. Upon the passage of this ordinance the City Recorder of Salt Lake City shall file, and he is hereby directed to file with the County Recorder, a copy of the'map and plat above mentioned, duly certified and acknowledged as provided in such cases, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the City that this ordinance shall become effective immediately. SECTION 4.
