AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Subparagraph (c) of Section 25-4-6 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to the
salary schedule pertaining to uniform allowance by adding thereto a
uniform allowance for security guards assigned to Public Safety
Buildings.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Subparagraph (c) of Section 25-4-6 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to uniform
allowances, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
Section 25-4-6. * * *

(c) Uniform allowance. In addition to the salaries here-
in provided, police clerical personnel, traffic control meter
readers and inspectors, the chief security guard and each
security guard assigned to the Salt Lake City International
Airport, and each security guard assigned to the Public Safety
Buildings, who are required to wear a uniform, shall receive
the sum of $15.00 per month as a uniform allowance, and all
other members of the Police and Fire Departments who are
required to wear a uniform shall receive the sum of $25.00
per month as a uniform allowance. The uniform allowance
herein provided for shall become effective as of March 1,
1974.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare
of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become
effective immediately.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance become effective upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake i y, Utah,
this 20th day of March, 1974.
