AN OR INANCE LEVYING THE TAX AND FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF OF .fHE
PROPERTY ON THE ORTH SIDE OF FIRST SOUTH STREET FROM A POINT 127.5 FEET
EAST OF ELEVENTH,STREET TO THIRTEENTH EAST STREET, AND ON THE EAST SIDE
OF THIRTEENTH EAST STREET FROM FIRST SOUTH TO SECOND SOUTH STREETS, WITH4
IN SEWER DISTRICT No.' 1.
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City
that said City Council doeth hereby levy the tax and provide for the
assessment of the property upon the blocks, lots and parcels of land here-
inafter described abutting on the north side of First south Street from a
ppint 127.5 feet east of Eleventh East Street to Thirteenth East Street,
and on the East side of Thirteenth East Street between First South and
Second South Streets, within Sewer District No.1 of Salt Lake City.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a sewer
on the north side of First South Street 127.5 feet east of Eleventh East
Street to Thirteenth East Street, and thence south on the East side of
Thirteenth East Street to Second South Street, opposite the hereinafter
described blocks, lots and parcels of land to be especially affected and
benefitted by said improvement; and it is hereby adjudged, determined and
established that the same will be especially benefitted by said improve-
ment, and said blocks, lots and parcels of land are hereby assessed at an
equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
that portion of the north side of First South Street and of Thirteenth
East Street to be improved, fronting on said s'reet and of a depth of
25 feet back from said First South Street between a point 127.5 feet east
of Eleventh East Street and Thirteenth East Street, and from said Thir-
teenth East Street between First South and Second South Streets; and the
tax hereby levied and to be assessed on said blocks, lots and parcels of
land is $2,408.25, or $1.30 per linear or front foot abutting upon said
portions of said streets to be affected and benefitted by said improve-
ments,and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to assess in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purposes herein men-
tioned, the east thirty-seven and a half feet of lot 4 and all of lots 1,
2, and 3 in Block 35; all of lots 1 and 2, block 34, and all of lots 1,
2, 3, and 4 block 32; all in Plat F. Salt Lake City Survey.
This levy of tax is made upon said blocks, lots and parcels of
land, as they appear and are shown upon the official plat or map of said
City and of a depth of 25 feet back from the front of said blocks, lots
and parcels of land, abutting on that portion of First south and Thirteenh
East Streets hereinbefore described.
Sec.2. This ordinance shall be in force from and after its
approval.
