HomeMy WebLinkAbout34 of 1930 - Amending Chapter 33 relating to licensing of miniature golf courses r ,. — — ROLL CALL Salt Lake City Utah Sept 4, 193 0 VOTING AYE NAY I move that the ordinance be passed Burton �'+1 Fehr _�_,� Finch Lake Mr Chairman AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER XXXIII, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 19,0, relating to licenses by adding in and to said Chapter a new Sectmon to be known as Section 1'52, relating to miniature golf courses, golf driving courses and other forms of golf games other than regular golf courses Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah SECTION I That Chapter XXXIII, hevisea Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to licenses, be ana the same is here— '" by amendea by adding in and to said Chapter a new Section to be known Ls, as Section 1552, which shall read as follows SECTION 1352 MINIATURE GOLF COURSES, GOLF DRIVING COURSES AND OIRER FORMS OE GOLF GAMES OTHER THAN REGULAR GOLF COURSLS It shall be unlawful for any person, corporation or association to keep, maintain, overate or conduct any miniature golf course, golf driving course and other forms of golf games other than regular golf games, within the limits of Salt Lake City without first obtaining a license so to do The license fee payaole under this ^ection shall be the sum of a25 00 per annum For the our)ose of tnis ordinance a miniature 'o1f course shall be defined as any place, except regular golf courses, where a game is played which consists in striking a ball with clubs into a series of holes . A golf driving course shall be any place ri ` -j_ where golf balls or other similar balls are driven by a person using golf clubs or clubs similar to golf clubs SLCTIOE ti It shall be unlawful for any person, corpora- tion or association to permit any miniature golf course, golf driv- ing course and other forms of golf games other than regular golf games, within the limits of Salt Lake City to remain open or be operated between the hours of 30 A n.H and 6 A iJf of any day, or to permit music of any kind;at said course after 11 00 p' °di of any day, provided, however, that no person or persons shall be lallowed to start to olay a game after 12 00 o'clock midnight of any day SECTION In the op:nidn of the Board of Commissioners �1 a it, is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants I of Salt Lake City that thic ordinance shall take effect immediately.
