AN ORDINANCE Al ENDING AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED February 27, 1951,
Bill No. 14, granting to Salt Lake City Lines, a corporation, its suc-
cessors and assigns, a franchise tooperate electric street railway lines,
electric trolley coach lines, motoreoach buses, or such other means of
mass transportation as may in the future be necessary or convenient for
the transporation of the public.__
Be it ordained by the Board.ef..Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That the first paragraph of Section 8 of that certain
ordinance adopted Febrmry 27, 1951, Bill No. 14, granting to Salt Lake
City Lines, a corporation, its successors and assigns, a franchise to
operate electric street railway lines, electric trolly coach lines,
motor coach buses, or such other means of mass transporatation as may
in the future be necessary or convenient for the transportation of the
public, be and same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Section 8. As a further consideration for this franchise
and.in lieu of all taxes and levies which might or could be levied
by the City, including but not limited to all municipal, occupation
or license taxes upon the Company, its property or business within
4; the city, or upon anything done by the Company in the exercise of
the rights hereby granted, the Company agrees to pay a sum equal
to one per centum for the year 1956 and thereafter the sum of two
per centum of the gross revenue derived by the Company in the
exercise of the rights hereby granted within the limits of Salt

SECTION 2. Except as herein above amended and modified the said-

franchise ordinance hereinabove referred to shall remain in all respects
as originally enacted.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 18th day of April, 1956.
