An Ordinance levying the tax and for the assessment of thefiti
property on the North Side of Fourth South Street between Fourth and
Fifth East Streets, and on the East side of Fifth East street between
Fourth South Street and a point seven rods south of the south line of
Third South Street, within sewer District No. 1.
Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah, that said City Council Both hereby levy the tax and provide for the
assessment of the property on the North side of Fourth South Street
between Fourth and Fifth =ant} Streets, and on the East side of Fifth
East Street between Fourth South Street and a point seven rods south of
the south line of Third South Street.
Sec. 2. This tax is levied to defray the expense of construct-
ing a sewer on the North side of Fourth South Street from the intersection
of Fourth South and Fourth East Streets and running East to the East side
of Fifth East street, thence north on the east side of Fifth East street
to a point seven rods south of the south line of Third south Street,
opposite the property, lots and parcels of land herein described to be
especially effected andbenefitted by said improvement; and it is hereby
adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially
benefitted by said improvement; and said lots and parcels of land are here
by assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear
itxssk font frontage upon said portions of said streets, fronting thereon,
and of a depth of 25 feet back from said streets; and the tax hereby
levied and assessed upon said property, lots and parcels of land is
$1565.85, or $1.30 per linear foot abutting upon said portions of said
streets, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to assess in accord-
ande with the provisions of this ordinance and for the purposes herein
mentioned, all of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block Al 37, and all of lots 2, 3,

and 4 and the south 49 1/2 feet of Lot 5, Block 38, Plat "B" Salt Lake
City Sprvey.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall be in force from and after its
approval.
Passed by the 'cit;v Counui.l May 8th, 19n0, and referred to the r.'.ayor for
his approval.'
