35 of 1905 - Ordinance 35 of 1905 – Sidewalk Extension No. 77. AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on both sides of B Street from First Street to Ninth. Street; on the
north side of Fifth Street from B Street to N Street; and on the
north side of Seventh Street from B Street to C Street, in Sidewalk
District No. 24, for the construction of cement sidewalks.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots 1 and 4, Block 16; 2 and 3, Block 17; 2 and 3,
Block 40; 1 and 4, Block 41; 1 and 4, Block 44; 2 and 3, Block 45; /,
2 and 3, Block 68; 1 and 4, Block 69; 1 ;>.nd 4, Block 72;/2 and 3,
Block 73; 2 and 3,jBlock 96; 1 and 4, Block 97; 1 and 4, Block 100;

Block 101; 2 and 3, Block 124; and 1 and 4, Block 125, all
in Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of B
Street from First Street to Ninth Street; on the north side of Fifth!
Street from B Street to E Street, and on to north side of Seventh
Street from B Street to C Street, in Sidewalk District No. 24, said
property having a frontage of 6,600 feet along said street:.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing cement!
sidewalks four (4) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon said It

to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and its:' j °
is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will °
be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby;
levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal aicq
uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said
portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five
(25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be as-
sessed upon said. parcels of land ist'ive thousand and sixteen
( ',5,016.00) dollars, or seventy-six hundredths ( i0.76) dollars per

as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a
depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and. to col-
lect said tax.
SECTIOB 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent as follows:
One-third thereof shall become delinquent in one moat' after
the approval of this levy; one-third in two months, wit xxxxticitral
after said approval, and one-third in threes months after said appro- 1 '
val. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shall:
draw interer:t at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum from date
of levy, and all said installments shall bear interest a` the rate
of ten (10) per cent per annum from date of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
