Result J AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of
property an Alameda Avenue between Twelfth East and Thirteenth
Nast Streets, in Paving District No. 27 (Paving .Extension No.
140), for the purpose of providing for the grading, constructing
concrete curb and private driveways, installing water services
and sewer connections, constructing concrete sidewalks, and
paving thereof.
.Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving
District No. 27 (Paving Extension No. 140). for the purpose of
providing for the grading, constructing concrete curb and
private driveways, installing water services and sewer eonnecti ons,
constructing oonorete sidewalks, and paving thereof, to-wit:
In Lots 3, 4, 7 and 8, Block 34, Plat "F", Salt Lake City
Survey, abutting on both aides of Alameda Avenue between Twelfth
Bust and Thirteenth East Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, con-
structing oonorete curb, constructing private driveways,
installing water services and sewer connections, constructing
concrete sidewalks (said concrete sidewalks to be four (4) feet

IsIde and four (4) inches thick, with three and one-quarter (31) ;
! inch base and three-quarter (I) inch topping), and paving with
�conorete (said concrete pavement to be twenty-four (24) feet I�
between curbs and from five (5) inches thick at curbs to seven
11,1 (7) inches thick in center), the portions of said street opposite
!1the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be cspe-
joially affeoted and benefited by said improvement, and it is
hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property•
Twill be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the II�
' tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed
at an equal,rate in a000rdanoe with the linear foot frontage
iupon said portions of said street fronting upon and to a depth
of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby
levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is eight
thousand four hundred twenty-one and 60/100 ($8,421.60) dollars;
seven thousand six hundred fifty-five and 67/100 ($7,656.67)
dollars, ox six and. 27/100 ($6.27) dollars per front or linear
foot of abutting property for twenty-four foot roadway, with
.walk, there being 1221 feet abutting said portion of said im-
provement; four hundred twenty-two and 73/100 ($422.73) dollars,
or four and 27/100 ($4.27) dollars per front or linear foot of
abutting property for twenty-four foot roadway, without walk,
there being 28 feet abutting said portion of said improvement;
one hundred two ($102.00) dollars for private driveways, or
eight and 60/100 ($8.00) dollars for each private driveway, the e
being twelve private driveways; forty-eight ($48.00) dollars
for water services, or twelve ($12.00) dollars for each water

service, there being four water services; and one hundred ninety-
three and 20/100 ($193.20) dollars for sower connections, or
twenty-seven and 60/100 ($27.60) dollars for each sewer connec-
tion, there being seven sewer connections, the cost of the con-
struction of which private driveways, and the post of the

installation of which water services and sewer connections, and
the property benefited thereby is hereinafter set out, and all
within the boundaries of the lots, block and street shove men-
tioned in said distriot, which is the total oast and cost per
front foot of said improvement, according to the oontraot entered
into for the performance of said work and making said improve-
ment, with Parrett & Christofferson, dated the 14th day of March,
1919, and the Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to
assess, in,aoosrdanoe with the provisions of this ordinance, for
the purpose herein mentioned: III

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in tea
equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time sash
installment is due, to-wits One-tenth thereof one year after
the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment fo
such improvement becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in two
years after said ordinance becomes effeotive; one-tenth thereof
in three years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tent
thereof in four years after said ordinanoe becomes effective;
one-tenth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes
effective; one-tenth thereof in six years after said ordinance
becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in seven years after said
ordinance becomes effeotive; one-tenth thereof in eight years

after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in
nine years after said ordinance becomes effective; and one-tenth
thereof in ten years after said ordinance becomes effective.
One or more of said installments, in the order in which they are
payable, or the whole special tax, may be paid at any time with-1
in thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the
tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event of any
installment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date)
the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaiA�
'at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become '
due and.pagable, and shall draw interest at the rate of eight
per meat per annum until the sale of the property assessed;

provideL, one or more installments, in the order in which they II
are payable, .or the whole apecial tax unpaid, may be paid on th
day any installment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof II
• and interest to said date.
EMOTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after'
its first publication.
