AN RDINANCE AMENDING "MT ORDINANCTL IN RELATION TO THE SALT LAIL
CITY WATERWORKS", Approved May 27th, 1897.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Sec. 1. That portion of Section 26 of "An Ordinance in relation to
the Salt Lake City Waterworks", Approved May 27th, 1897, fixing meter rates
for the consumption of water, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Meter rates per thousand gallons of average daily consumption,
Maximum rate for 1,000 or less, 10 cents per thousand gallons.
Minimum rate for more than 1,000 and not exceeding ;000, 9 7/8 cents,
and for each additional 1,000 galons of average daily consumption the
minimum rate shall be reduced one eighth of a cent until the average
daily consumption exceed-40,000 gallons, when the rate for the same shall
be 5 cents per thousand gallons of average daily consumption.
Provided, that thenteouncil may by resolution fix meter rates at
not less than one half •e4evek maximum rates, or more than twice above
minimum rates.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall be in force from and . fter its approval.
