Be it ordained the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 8 of am ordinance entitled "An ordi- nance ratifying and confirming the transfer of franchises to Utah ,Light and Railway Company, a corporation, extending the life of said franchises and amending the same, including the franchise of the Utah' • Power Company", approved August 4, 1905, be, and the same is hereby .amended and re-enacted to woad as follows: SECTION: 8. The right of way is hereby given to the said Utah Light and Railway Company to build and operate a single or double track street railway over the following streets: First. On Second West Street from the present terminus at Eighth South Street, one block south to Ninth South Street. Second. On Second South Street from the present terminus of said road at Jordan River, thence west on said Second South r Street to the westerly limit of Salt Lake City. l Third. On Sixth Street from L Street, thence east to the western boundary of the City Cemetery. Fourth.On Fifth North Street from Second West Street to Fourth West Street, thence north of said street and tha contin- uation thereof north of Ninth North Street to the County Road, thence northwesterly along the west side of said County Road a distance of nineteen hundred (1900) feet more or less; and the said tracks hereby authorized to be constructed and operated, shall be laid upon such grades F,s are now and may hereafter be established by the City Council, and subject to the provisions and conditions contained in the franchise heretofore gran'tiWito 3fi it -2.. the Salt Lake City Railroad Company and heretofore assigned to the said Utah Light and Railway Company, approved January 26, 1889. SECTION 2. The rights and franchise hereby granted are for the term of fifty (50) years from and after the first day of July, 1905. ' SECTION 3. The said grantee herein shall within thirty (30) days from the approval of this ordinance, file its acceptance in 'writing thereof with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City. SECTION 4.
