AN ORDINA (/_/;/\T"' Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER XXXV of the Revised Ordi- nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, by adding in and to said chapter a new section to be known as Section 3722 relating to licenses. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Chapter XXXV of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, be and the same is hereby amended by adding in and to said chapter a new section to be known as Section 3722, which section shall read as follows: "SEC. 3722. HOUSE TO HOUSE SOLICITING AND SELLING IN INTERSTATE COMMERCE. It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit for the sale of, offer for sale, or sell from house to house within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City, any goods, wares, or merchandise whatsoever, subscriptions to any kind of publication, tickets, coupons or receipts representing value or redeemable in any kind of consideration, where the same are solely and strictly within and a part of interstate commerce, without first having registered with the Chief of Police of Salt Lake City, Utah, and having received from said Chief of Police a registration certificate showing the following: the name and home address of such person; the name and home address of the person, firm, or corporation which said person represents; a photograph of said person attached to said. certificate; and the certifica- tion of said Chief of Police over his signature that said person has registered. -3- At the time of registering, said person shall furnish the Chief of Police with two photographs, one to be attached to said certificate and one to be retained by the Chief of 'Police, also a set of finger prints to be taken by the Chief of Police, and shall sign his name on the registration record to be kept by the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police shall collect from each person regis- tered at the time of registration a registration fee in the sum of c.2.00, which sum shall be remitted by the Chief of Police to the City Treasurer." SECTION 2. In the opinion of the hoard of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3.
