AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 2 of Title 25 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to department
officers and offices by adding thereto a new section to be known
as Section 25-2-6 relating to the office of City Chemist.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Title 25, of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to department officers and
offices is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to be
known as Section 25-2-6 relating to the office of City Chemist to
read as follows:
"Sec. 25-2-6. Department of public safety. There is
hereby created and established within the Department of
Public Safety the office of City Chemist and the Board of
Commissioners may appoint a competent person thereto to
perform such duties as may be assigned to him by the
commissioner of public safety or by the Board of City
Commissioners.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the peace, health and
welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance
become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
on this 29th day of June , 1967.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 17-3-1 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to organization in the health
department.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 17-3-1 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to organization in the health
department, be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto
the office of City Chemist.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of
the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
