A 3 ORDINANCE .
An ordinance levying e. tax and for the asse:;cicent of property
on all streets within the district beginning at A Street and Sixth
Avenue; thence north on A Street to the north property line of Nin.i
Avenue; thence east to the west property line of B Street; tro nce
north to the north property line of Tenth Avenue; thence east to
the east property line of J Street; thence south to the north prop
erty line of Ninth Avenue; thence east to the east property line o
M Street; thence south to the north property lino c!' Sixth Avenue;
thence west to beginning, in Se-ocr District PO. 1, for the conatru4-
tion of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commieeionere of Stilt; Doe
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Coivatnsioeers of Solt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described, in Sewer District No. 1,
for the construction of sewers, to-wit:

This tax is levied to defrey the expense of constructing vitri-
fied pipe sewers eight (8) inches in diameter upon. the portions of
said streets opposite the property hereirbefore and hereinafter
described to be especially affected and benefited by said irr,prove-
.ent, and. it is hereby adjudged, determined and. established that
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full
amount of the .tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are here
by assessed •t an equal and uniform rate in aeordenoe with the
linear foot frostsge upon said portions of said streets fronting
pen and tc a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and
he tax hereby levied. and to be assessed upon sail pereela of land
twelve thousand six hundred seventy-nine and 6C/10S ( 12,679.60)

linear foot of abutting. property, there being 18018 feet of abuttin

above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost
per front foot of said sewers, according to the contract entered i -

ment, with James Kennedy Construction Company, dated the 13th day
of June, 1911, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed I, o

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delihquent in five
equal yearly installments, with interest on the v;hole sem uni:al
at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the tine each
installment is doe, to-, it: One-filth thereof one year after the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the poyeent for eaeh
improvement beco nes effective; ore-fifth thereof in two years after
said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years
efter said oriinai,oe becor0e0, effective; one-fifth thereof in four
'ears after said ordinance becomee effective; ena one-fifte thereof
in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One ow more
•f said installments, in the order in e.hich the;;y are f;r;y,;l:ie, ur
he whole special tax, may be paid at cay time within thirty days
after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effective,
without interest. In the event of any installment or the interest
aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due, the
whole amount ef the special tax unpaid at the time said instol7.rrent
and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw
interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale of
the property assessed; provided, ore or more instellrte;;te, in the
order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax unpaid,
may be paid on the day any installment becomes due, by paying the

amount thereof and interest to said date
SECTION 3. This ordinance s4all take effect one day after
its first publication.
