AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1362, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners on May 1, 1935, relating to traffic and travel
on streets.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1362, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board
of Commissioners on May 1, 1935, relating to traffic and travel on
streets, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 1362. HOW TO APPROACH CURB. Every person in charge
of a vehicle shall, in the business districts, in parking such
vehicle, approach the curb at an angle of 45 degrees and in such
a manner that the front right-hand wheel of such vehicle shall, T7
when vehicle is stopped, be approximately twelve inches from the elf
curb; provided it shall be unlawful to park any vdticle on any
• 37 street less than four rods in width or on any street outside of
the business district except the following, unless such vehicle
is parked parallel with the curb:
South Temple Street from West temple to 3rd West Street.
First South Street from West Temple to 3rd West Street..
Second South Street from West temple to 5th West Street.
Third South Street from West Temple to Rio Grande
Avenue.
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle with any wheel of the
same in the gutter.
Except where angle parking is permitted as aforesaid,
every vehicle stopped or parked upon a roadway where there is an
adjacent curb shall be so stopped or parked with the right-hand
wheels of such vehicle parallel with and within eighteen inches
of the right-hand curb.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publicationL
Passed by the Board of Commissioners, Lake City,
Utah, this 6th day of October 1936.
