I. 1 D I ROLL CALL I f VOTING Salt Lake City,Utah,__-_ 193 Goggin I move that the ordinance be passok" Keyser Matheson - - - - c:/ rc.�,_ �d' z- -ttc--rr_/' Murdock - - - Mr.Chairman - - - AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY. 1 WHEREAS, on July 23, 1940, Ernest Wright and others, (being a majority of the owners of real property situated in the tract here- inafter described) aigned and filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake City, Petition No. 775, requesting that said tract of land be 1rtaken within the limits of said city, end also caused an accurate map to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor and approved t. 0 by the City Engineer, to be filed with the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the said tract of land is contiguous to Salt Lake �ry City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to and made a part of said city; and 1 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, after examining said petition of said owners of said tract of land, and con- 4 sidering the.circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous vote of said ^. board in favor of annexing said tract of land to Salt Lake City, and directed the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance making and i. declar- ing said annexation. S NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the city limits of Salt Lake City-be and the o same are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include the following o- described tract of land in Salt Lake County, to-wit: 1 Beginning at the intersection of the present Salt Lake City Boundary line 168.43 feet north of the north side of 17th South Street with a ling 165 feet east of the east side of 19th East Street, thence N. 0° 12' 32" W. 972.38 feet along a line parallel to and3165 feet east of the east side of 19th East Street, thence S. 89° 31' 53" W. 1635.84 feet to the pre- 1-il' sent Salt Lake City Boundary, thence following present Salt Lake City Boundary line as follows: S. 0° 03' 34" W. 82.64 feet, thence S. 660 34' W. 32.7 feet; thence S. 87° 42' W. 126.43 feet to a point 225.74 feet south and 4.06 feet east of , the City Monument at the intersection of 17th East and Emerson -03 Avenue, thence south 866.36 feet on a line 33 feet east and parallel to the west side of 3 th East Street to a point 168.43 -2- feet north of the north side of 17th South Street, thence east 1802.99 feet to point of beginning, containing 39.887 1 acres. Said tract of land is located in Lot 5 and part of Lots 1 and 2, Block 13, and part of Lots 1 and 2, Block 14, a portion of F. M. Lyman Jr.'s Survey of Section 16, T. 1 S., B. 1 E., S.I L. B. & M. and that the same has been correctly staked out upon the ground as shown upon the map. Upon the passage of this ordinance the City Re- corder of Salt Lake City shall file and she is hereby directed to file with the County Recorder of Salt Lake County a copy of the map and plat above mentioned, duly certified and acknowledged as provid- ed in such cases, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. SECTION 3.
