the use of bicycles and other riding machines within Salt Lake Oity and
providing;.penalties for violations of the same.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1 that
Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to ride any bi-
cycle, tricycle, vilosipede or other riding machine upon any public
sidewalk on any of the following streets.
South Temple between 3rd West and 10th East Streets.
let South between 5th West and 10th East Streets.
2nd South between 5th West and 10th East Streets.
3rd and 4th South Street between West Temple and 2nd East.
Main and West Temple between SCICEEZZazie and 4th South Street.
State Streut between North Temple and 4th South Street.
Richards, Commercial and Market Streets and Franklin Avenue.

Canyon Road.
let, 2nd and 3rd Streets between Canyon Road and A Street.
Provided that between November 1st of each year and April 30th

districts: All of the South side of South Temple Street and the North
side of said Street East of E Street. lst South Street East of State
Street and West of 1st West Street. 2nd and 3rd South Streets East of
State Street. All of 4th South Street.

Sec. 2. No person or persons she a bicycle within
the corporate limits of the city of Salt Lake without having attached to
the handle bar thereof and in a position to be easily reached by the hand
of the person riding said bicycle a bell, nor shall any person or persons
ride any bicycle anywhere within the limits of the city of Salt Lake at
any time within thirty minutes after sunset and thirty minutes before
sunrise, unless there shall be attached to the front part of said bicycle
in a conspicuous place and throwing its rays,directly in front of the
said bicycle a lighted lamp or lantern.
