AN ORDINANCE amending Section 776 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1913, as amended by an Ordinance
pase-d by the Board of Commissioners, May 8, 1919, and amending
Section 792, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 1913, as
amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, July 27, 1918.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
Section 1. That Section 776 of the Revised Ordinances
of $:1t Lake City, 1913, as amended by the Board of Commissioners
May :, 1919, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 776. The Fire Department of Salt Lake City
shall consist of the following officers and men whose duties and
compensations shall be as provided by ordinance:
One Chief of Department . .
One Assistant Chief of Department
Seven Captains
Eight Lieutenants
One Superintendent, Fire and Police Alarm
One Master Mechanic
One Inspector
One Secretary
Five Firemen - mechanics
Eighty-one firemen of three grades, to-wit:
1st Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade,
And :uch additional employes and at such compensations as the Board
of C.mmissioners shall from time to time authorize.
Section II. That Section 792, Revised Ordinances of
