AN ORDINANCE .
An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 386 of Chapter
XXVII of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 386 of Chapter XXVII o t'He Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, be and the same hereby is amend
ed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
SECTION 386. Licenses for peddling or hawking in the man-
ner and under the restrictions described in Section 385 of
Chapter 7CXVII gff the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, may

For a license to peddle or hawk vegetables,
garden produce, fruit, butter, eggs,
poultry, fish and game, for each wagon or
stand, each wagon or stand to have a
separate license WOO
For a license to peddle or hawk merchandise
and other property not above enumerated,
medicine excepted, for each wagon or stand,
each wagon or stand to have a separate f�

For a license to peddle any baker's
product, for each wagon or stand 15.00
For a license to peddle vegetables only
from hampers carried by the peddler where
no wagon is engaged therewith 20.00
No license shall be issued to peddle or hawk any medicine,
nostrum or remedy of any character or description.

Only one person may peddle with each wagon, but each wagon—
may
may be accompanied by one driver or one attendant in addition 7,
to the peddler, but such driver or attendant shall not peddle.
Persons offering for sale butter, eggs, fruit or vegetables,-
or any article or commodity raised or produced by themselves
(medicine excepted), may sell and. offer for sale the same with-
out a license on First South Street between East Temple
West T Streets on all. days between the hours of four A. M.
and ten A. M. , except on Sundays and legal holidays, and such

district is hereby established as a market for such products.

Each license shall be numbered,and said licence, together
with the number thereof shall be attached in a prominent place
on said wagon, in case a wagon is used, and in all cases the
person peddling under said license shall wear on his hat in a
conspicuous place, while peddling, a metal tag exhibiting the
same number as his license. The City Recorder shall furnish
such tags with the licenses issued by him.
Any license issued hereunder may be revoked by the City
Council for any dishonest or unfair act or practice on the part
of hre person operating under the same, or for any disobedience
or evasion of the provisions hereof.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
