Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Paving Districts Nos. 28 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension
No. 44) for the purpose of providing for the curbing and guttering.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter describe& in Paving Districts
Nos. 28 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 44) for the purpose of
providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete, con-
structing drainage system to carry water along and across streets
and intersections, constructing storm sewers, retaining walls and
private driveways, to-wit:
In Lots 2 to 6 incl. of Blk. 12; Lots 1, 7, 8 & 9 of
Blk. 13; Lots 1, 4, 5 & 6 of Bik. 16; Lots 1 to 4 incl. of
Blk. 17; Lot 4 of Blk. 19; Lots 2 to 6 incl. of Blk. 20; Lots
1, 2 & 3 of Elk. 21; Lots 1, 2, 5 & 6 of Blk. 22; Lots 1, 2, 3,

This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading,
curbing and guttering with concrete, constructing drainage
system to carry water along and across streets and intersections,

constructing storm sewers, retaining walls and private/(said
grading to be sixteen (16) feet between curbs with roll gutter
on both sides. of West Capitol St. from Girard to Clinton Ave.,
twenty (20) feet between curbs. with roll gutter on both sides of
Apricot Ave. from North Main to Center St., twenty-five (25)
feet between curbs with roll gutter on the east side of Wall
St. from 4th North to a point 80 ft. north, twenty-five (25)
feet between curbs with twenty-four (24) inch gutter on both
sides of North Main St. from 4th North to Girard Avenue, twenty-
seven text (27)foot roadway with roll gutter on the east side of
Wall St. from a point 80 ft. north of 4th North to Zane Avenue,
twenty-seven (27) foot roadway with twenty-four (24) inch gutter

of Center St. from Girard to Clinton Avenues, west side of Center
Ave.
St. from Girar/to 5th North St., both sides of 3rd North from
Quince to 1st West St., and fifty (50) foot roadway with twenty-
four (24) inch gutter on the south side of 5th North from Center
St. to 1st West St.) the portion of said streets opposite the
property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially
affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby
adjudged, determined and established that said property will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby
levied, and said paroels of land are hereby assessed at an equal
and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon
said portions of said streets, fronting upon and to the entire
depth back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assesse'
upon said pa reels of land is Fifty-one Thousand Two Hundred Eight

SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the
city treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Boar'
of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section
I of this ordinance in Paving Districts Nos. 28 and 30 (Curb
& Gutter Extension No. 44) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of
providing for the grading, curbing and guttering with concrete,
constructing drainage system to carry water along and across
streets and intersections, constructing storm sewers, retaining
Walls and private driveways upon said portion of said streets,
is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in
said completed lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization
and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are
hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in five,-equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with inter-
est on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,
payable at the time each installment is, due. In the event any
installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per
cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
