Green Stewart % ,l !� GR��.;/__L!__v.y✓ Mr. Chairman �I Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property in Paving District No. 27 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 39) for the purpose of providing for the curbing and guttering. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Dis- trict No. 27 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 39) for the purpose of providing for the grading, constructing concrete curb and gutter and private driveways, to-wit: In Lots 5 and 6, of Block 17, and Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, of Block 24, Plat "F'r, Salt Lake City survey, also a part of section 4, T. 1 S., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & M., abut- ting on both sides of University Street from 3rd South to 4th South Street and 4th South Street from 13th East Street to University Street. Ws tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing private drive- ways, said grading to be forty (40) feet between curbs on University Street from 3rd South to 4th South Street and fifty (50) feet be- tween curbs on Fourth South Street, from 13th East Street to Uni- versity Street, with thirty (30) inch gutter on both sides of said streets, the portion of said streets opposite the property herein- 10 mow. before and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, deter- mined and established that said property will be especially bene- fited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said por- tions of said streets, fronting upon and to the entire depth hack therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Six Thousand Twenty-five and 40/100 (46025.40) Dollars; Three Thousand Hight Hundred Sixty-five and 80/100 (43865.80) Dollars or Two and 679/1000 (42.679) Dollars per frant or linear foot of abutting property for forty (40) foot roadway, there being 1443.0 feet of abutting property; One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-four and 60/100 (41664.60) Dollars or Two and 679/1000 (42.679) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for fifty (50) foot roadway, there being 621.35 feet of abutting property; Three Hundred Twenty and 00/100 (: 320.00) Dol- lars for private driveways, there being four (4) private drive- ways at Eighty (480.00) Dollars for each private drivew€{y; One ( Hundred Sixty and 00/100 (4160.00) Dollars for private driveways, there being eight (8) private driveways at Twenty (420.00) Dollars for each private driveway; Tifteen and 00/100 015.00) Dollars fo private drivewayts, there being one (1) private driveway at Fiftee (415.00) Dollars; within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district; which is the total abutters' cost and cost per fra nt foot of said improvement, accor - I; ing to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with J. L. Griffith Co., dated the 17th day of March, 1924, and the City Treasurer is hereby author- II it ized and,directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned. (015.00 per driveway) Commencing 406,85 ft. east of the N. a. corner of Lot 15, Blk. 24, Plat "F", Salt Lake City 6urvey, thence south 792 ft., being a part of Sea. 4, T. 1 S., R. 1 E., S. L. B. & N.; as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to the entire ( depth of said parcels of land and to collect said tax. SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City ITreasurer, as correlated, approved and completed by the Board of !.equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Paving District No. 27 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 39) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for the jgrading, curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing pri- i vate driveways upon said portions of said streets, is hereby con- firmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to !the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. Ili SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal yearl (installments as provided by law and ordinanoe with interest on the 'whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any installment 'or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes ;due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, land shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum i until the sale of the property assessed.
