An ordinance levying a tax Pad for the asse2o--te-at of property
within the following described district: Beginning at the Jordan
River and Tenth South Street; thence east along the north property
line of Tenth South Street to rest Temple Street; thence north to
Ninth South Street; thence east to Thirteenth East Street; thence
south to Tenth South Street; thence east to Fifteenth East Street;
thence south to Thirteenth South Street; thence west to Highland
Park Drive; thence northerly along the west property line of High-
land Park Drive to Denver & Rio Grande Railroad tracks, Park City
branch; thence westerly along said tracks to Sixth East Street;
thence north to Twelfth South Street; thence west to Third East
Street; thence north to Eleventh South Street; thbnoe west to Maim
Street; thenoe north to Tenth South Street; thenoe west along the
south property line of Tenth South Street to the Jordan River, the
same being the boundary of the district to be improved, in Sewer
Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer Districts
Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers, to-wit:

This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
livitrified and oonorete pipe sewers upon the portions of said streets
opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be
leppecially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is
(hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property
will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax
hereby levied, and said paroele of land are hereby assessed at an

equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage
upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is fifty-eight thousand
two hundred fifty-six and 94/100 458,256.94) dollars; eighteen
thousand sixty-two and 1/100 (418,062.01) dollars, or two and
25/100 42.25) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting prop-
erty for sewer on side of streets, there being 8027.56 feet abut-
'ting said portion of said improvement; forty thousand one hundred
ninety-four and 93/100 ($40,194.93) dollars, or one and 245/1000
' ($1.245) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for;
sewer in center of streets, there being 32285.08 feet abutting
said portion of said improvement, all within the boundaries of thei
(!lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said districts, which
is the total coat and post per front foot of said sewers, according
' to the oontraot entered into for the performance of said work and
making said improvement, with Henry C. Buena Ulen, dated the 16th
' day of September, 1914, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and,
directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this

ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in two years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three
years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in
four years after said ordinance becomes effective; end one-fifth
`y thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. Onei
or more installments, in the order in which they are payable, or
the whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days 1

after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes effect

ive, without interest. In the event of any installment or the
interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same becomes due,
the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said in-
stallment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and
shall draw interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until
the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more install-
ments, /nix in the order in which they are payable, or the whole
special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day any instillment becomes
due, by paying the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
its first publication.
