Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Chapter 33 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to licenses, by adding in and
to said ohapter three new sections, to be known as Sections
849x8, 86131 and 875x8.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 33 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to licenses, be, and the same
is hereby amended by adding in and to said chapter three new
sections to be known as Sections 849x8, 861x1 and 875x8, said
new sections to read as follows:
SECTION 849x8. Each applicant for license to keep,
maintain, conduct or operate any card table shall file with
his application a good and sufficient bond in the sum of
$1,000.00, conditioned that said applicant and every person
in his employ or under his control at the place where said
business is conducted, shall faithfully observe all laws
and ordinances, and particularly all laws and ordinances
with reference to gaming and gambling, sale and use of
intoxicating liquors, and with reference to the conduct of
such business. No license shall be granted by the Board of
Commissioners until such bond has been filed.

SECTION 861z1. Each applicant for license to keep,
maintain, conduct or operate any rooming house shall file
with his application a good and sufficient bond in the sum
of 41,000.00, conditioned that said applicant and every
person in his employ or under his control at the place wher,
said business is conducted, shall faithfully observe all
'laws.and ordinances and particularly all laws and ordi-
nances with referenca ,to gaming and gambling, prostitution,
sale and use of intoxicating liquors, and with reference to
the conduct of such -business. No license shall be granted
by the Board of Commissioner8 until such bond haa,been file' .
SECTION 875x8. Each applicant for a soft drink livens
under divisions A and B of Section 875x2, shall file with
his application a good and sufficient bond in the sum of •
$1,000.00, oonditioned that said applicant and every person .
in his employ or under his control at the place where said
business is conducted, shall faithfully observe all laws
and ordinances, and particularly all laws and ordinances
with reference to gaming and gambling, disorderly conduct,
sale and use of intoxicating liquors, and with reference to
• the conduot of such business. No license shall be granted
by the Board of Commissioners until such bond has been file4.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabi-
tants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
