Green Stewart V Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro- perty in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a sewer. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah. SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a sewer, to-wit: In Lots 5 and 6 of Block 80, Lots 1 and 21 to 26 final. of Block 3, Oakwood Sub. of Block 80; Lots 1 to 52 final. of Blocks 1 and 2 of Clive's Subdivision of Block 88; Lots 1 to 51 incl. of Block 1 of Home Sub. of Block 89, all in Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of 1st alley west of 8th West from 4th to 5th North, both sides of 1st alley west of Chicago St. from 4th tc 5th North, both sides of 1st alley west of 9th West from 5th north to 1st alley south, both sides of lst alley north of 4th North from 9th West to Marion Street, south s ide of 5th North from 1st alley west of 8th west to 9th West and south side of 4th North from 9th to 10th West. This tax is levied to defray the expense of oonstruating a vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches to eighteen (18) inches in diameter, including manholes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions, all I complete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said parcels of land back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land. is Eleven Thousand Three Hundred Four and 01/100 ($11,304.01) dollars; Eight Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-one and No/100 ($8,651.00) dollars or Two and 11/100 ($2.11) dollars per front or linear foot of ' abutting property for half rate, there being 4100 feet abutting , said improvement; Two Thousand Sig Hundred Fifty-three and ! 0i/i00 ($2553.01) dollars or Three and 59/100 ($3.59) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for full rate, there being 739 feet abutting said improvement, which is the tdal abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said sewer accord- ; ing to the contract entered into for the performance of said (work and making said improvement with John O'Connor, Contractor, dated the 18th day of October, 1922, and the Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to assess in accordance with the pro- visions of this ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned: FAT,F RATE The west side of Lots 1 and 28 to 52 incl. and the east side of Lots 2 to 27 incl. of Blk. 1, the east side of Lots. 2 to 27 incl. and the west side of Lots 1 and 28 to 52 incl. of Blk. 2, Olive's Sub, of Blk. 88; the west side of Lots 32 to 51 incl., the east side of Lots 12 to 31 incl., the north side of Lots 1 to 11 incl., the south side of the west 77.5 , feet of Lot 12 and the south side of the east 77.5 feet of Lot 1 2 51, Blk. 1, Home Sub. of Blk. 89, Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey: FULL RATE The north side of the east 270 feet of Lot 5, the north aide of the west 1 foot of Lot 6, Bik. 80; the north side of the west 78 feet of Lot 1 and the north side of Lots lk. 3, of Bik. 80; 21 to 26 incl. oakwood Sub.,/the north side of the west 81 feetef Lot 27, Blk. 1, the north side of the west 81 feet of Lot 27 and the north side of the east 81 feet of Lot 28, Blk. 2, Clive's Sub, of Blk. 88, Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey, as the sauce are shown upon the official plats of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of lend and to collect said tax. SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of con- structing a sewer upon said portions of said street, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said com- pleted lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax Shall be payable in ten equal yearly installments with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after the effective date of this ordinance of levy, one-tenth thereof two years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof three years after this ordinance becomes effective, one- tenth thereof four years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof five years after this ordinance becomes ef- fective, one-tenth thereof six years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof seven years after this ordinance . 3 - becomes effective, one-tenth thereof eight years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof nine years after this ordinance becomes effective and one-tenth thereof ten years after this ordinance becomes effective. In the event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount' of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until paid.
