AN ORDIN'lNCE AMRi'IDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE PASSED
BY THE Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on
January 19, 1932, relating to salaries paid by Salt Lake City.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1 of an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on January 19, 1932,
relating to salaries be and the same is hereby amended by
adding at the end of said Section I, the following:
"Provided that no reduction shall be made or be
applicable to wages paid to or the wage scale of day
laborers employed by Salt Lake City at $3.50 a day and
less, or so as toreduce such wages or scale of day
laborers receiving more than 13.50 a day to less than
13.50 a day. "
'SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect imme-
diately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect at once upon
