Keyser - _ _ Matheson - McConkie �e awe sca _ - �r,r _ ✓•� Mr.Chairman - — AN ORDINANCE Result - - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 252X25 AND 252X26 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by ordinances passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 25, 1934; November 8, 1934; December 26, 1935; and September 2, 1936; relating to milk and dairy inspection and ice cream. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Sections 252X25 and 252X26 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by ordinances passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 25, 1934; November 8, 1934; December 26, 1935; and September 2, 1936; relating to milk and dairy inspection and ice cream, be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 252X25. FEES. All milk produced for use as or in market milk, market cream, ice cream, frozen milk and cream products by any milk producer, dairy or dairy farm,regardiess of grade, which is received by any milk distributor, milk plant, separator, handler, bottler or processor possessing a permit 4 from the Salt Lake City Board of Health, shall be subject to a fee of one-eighth of a cent per gallon if produced within fifty miles of the City and County Building in Salt Lake City, by the nearest direct route, and a fee of one-fourth of a cent per gallon if produced at a greater distance. Said fees shall be payable on or before the 10th day of each calendar month covering the amount of milk and cream delivered by each milk producer, dairy or dairy farm during the preceding month. Said fees shall be collected from the milk producer, -2- dairy or dairy farm by the distributor of such market milk and market cream or by thw manufacturer of such ice cream or other frozen milk or cream products accordingly as one or the other shall receive the same from the producer and shall be paid to the Board of Health for deposit with the Treasurer of Salt Lake City. SEC. 252X26. FEES. The man acturer of ice cre , 'ice c,, -' 'mix, or other frozen milk or cream products, who shall have paid the fee provided by Section 259X4 of an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on September 20, 1934, and designated as bill,, No. 25 of 1934, shall be exempt from paying fees provided by this section. The Auditor of Salt Lake City shall have the right at any and all reasonable times to audit the books of any plant, ' separator, bottler, processor, distributor or producer referred to in this Section and Section 252X25. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the health, peace and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance take effect immediately. SECTION 3.
