AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Title 18, Chapter 25, of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to miscellaneous health regulations,
by adding thereto a new section to be known as Sec. 18-25-58, providing for
removal of abandoned motor vehicles from private property and imposing a
fee for such removal.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Title 18, Chapter 25, of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to miscellaneous health regulations
be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new section to be
known as Sec. 18-25-58, providing for removal of abandoned motor vehicles
from private property and imposing a fee for such removal, to read as
follows:
"Sec. 18-25-58. Removal of abandoned motor vehicles from private
property. Fee. Abandoned motor vehicles, as referred to in Sec.
18-25-53, situated on private property may be removed therefrom, by,
or at the instance of, the Police Department upon written request
to said department of the owner of said private property and upon
the payment to the Police Department of a fee of $7.50 for each
vehicle. Said fee shall be deposited with the city treasurer.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is neces-
sary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publi-
cation.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
First day of February , 1967.
