An Ordinance prohibiting the use of publio vehicles Ter
immoral purposes.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for the driver of any
publio vehicle to permit any person to occupy or use such vehicle
for the purpose of prostitution, lewdness, or assignation with
knowledge or reasonable oause to know that the same is or is to be
used for such purposes, or to direct, take, or transport or offer
or agree to direot, take, or transport any person to any building
or place, or to any other person, with knowledge or reasonable
oause to know that the purpose of such direoting, taking, or trans-
porting is prostitution, lewdness or assignation.
SECTION 2. The term publio vehicle, as used herein, shall
mean and include cabs, taxicabs, for hire automobiles, and all other
vehicles of a similar nature engaged in the transportation of per-
sons for hire.
SECTION 3. Any violation of this ordinance by the driver
of any publio vehicle shall be sufficient ground for the revocation
of any lioense issued to said driver, or for the operation of such
public vehicle.
SECTION 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall, upon oonviotion thereof, in addition to the

revooation of license herein provided, for, be punished by a fine
in any sum nOtexoeoding Two Hundred and J.inety-nine Dollars, or
by imprisonment,dn the City Jail fora period not longer than six
months. The court may in imposing fine enter as part of the Judges
