AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1550 of Chapter XLVI,
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to
dance halls.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. hhat Section 1550 of Chapter XLVI, Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake city, Utah, 1920, relating to danee
halls, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1550. It shall be unlawful for any
person to conduct or maintain any public dance, public
dance hall, exhibition dance, or any dance or dancing,
to which the public is admitted either as spectators or
participants with or without the payment of a fee, or
having charge or control thereof to conduct, carry on
or permit any such dance or dancing between the hours of
twelve o'clock midnight of any day and eight o'clock A.M.
of the following day, or upon any Sunday; provided, how-
ever, that this section shall not apply to regular acts
on the regular program of any licensed theatre.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commission-
ers, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the in-
habitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become
effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect on October
