AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1542, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners on June 26, 1935, relating to weights and
measures and oil inspection.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1542, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board
of Commissioners on June 26, 1935, relating to weights and measures
and oil inspection, be and the same is hereby amended to read as fol-
lows:
SEC. 1542. GASOLINE. It shall be unlawful for any
person operating a service and filling station to sell or
have on hand for sale any lubricating oil, motor oil or gaso-
line which does not conform to the minimum specifications
established for oil or gasoline by the State of Utah.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health are, safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
