( 1 Result AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY running from Emery Street to the Jordan River, being a portion of Gillespie Avenue, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah. SECTION 1. That an alley running from Emery Street to the Jordan River, being a portion of Gillespie Avenue, in Salt Lake City, Utah, more particularly described as follows: •t-) ' Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 23, Block 13, Jordan Place, a ' subdivision of part of Sec. 2 & 3, T. 1 S., R. 1 W., S.L.B.&.M.; and running thence east 572.9 ft. to the southeast corner of Lot l, Block 13, said sub- _t -- division ; thence S. 5° E. 66.2 ft. along the west bank of the Jordan River c-eo to the northeast corner of Lot 48, Block 19, said subdivision; thence west - 578.7 ft. to the northwest corner of Lot 26, Block 19, said subdivision; 0 a thence north 66.0 ft. to the point of beginning. ? be and the same is hereby vacated and declared no longer to be public property for use - as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way. Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now located in, on, under, or over the confines of the above described property and also subject to the right of entry thereon for the purpose of inspecting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, removing, altering or rerouting said utilities and all of them. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
