AN ORDINANCPI AMENDING ACTICLP. 6 ci' CIIL T:FL VII, of the
Devised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, by adding in and
to said Article 6 a new Section to be known as Section 269, relat-
ing to closing of barber-shops.
Be it ordained by the board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. that Article 6 of Chapter VII of the devised
Ordinances of Salt bake City, Utah, 1934, be and the some is hereby
amended by adding in and to said Article a new section to be known
as Section 269, relatit:T to closing of barker-shops, which shall
read. as follows:
LEC. r_.69. CLOSING OF EA-BEEP-SHOPS. It shall be unlaw-
ful for the owner or operator of any barber-shop or for any agent
or employee of such owner or operator of any barber-shop in Salt
Lake City to permit such barber-shop to be or remain open for
the business of barbering for a consideration, or otherwise, on
Sundays, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, ''a,sh-
ingtonts Birthday, hecoration Day, July 4th, July 24th, or .Labor
Day, or at any time other than the .following:
iron 8 o'clock P.M.I to 6 o'clock P.M. on week days ex-
Saturdays, when such days do not precede any legal holiday;
From 8 o'clock A.M. to 7 o'clock P.M. cn Saturdays,
Sand on any week day when such week days ntecedes any legal holi-
day.
Except during the business hours hereinabove defined,
every barber-shop shall be closed and it shall be unlawful for
any person operating a barber-shop to prevent a free end unob-
structed view of such barber-shop by, any method, or by the use

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Loare of Commissioners,
