AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 302 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to auctioneers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 302 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah; 1944, relating to auctioneers, be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 302. TIME OF SALES. It shall be unlawful for any
person to sell or conduct any sale of goods, wares or mer-
chandise by public auction in Salt Lake City except between
the hours of seven o'clock a. m. and six o'clock p. m.; pro-
vided however, that the City Commission may grant special
permission to conduct a public auction between the hours of
six o'clock p. m. and ten o'clock p. m."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
