I
An ordinanoe.amending Section 838 of devised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1913, as amended by an ordinance passed by
the Board of Commissioners July 29, 1918 relating to the salary
of the Secretary of the City Attorney.
Be it ordained by 'the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 838 of Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, 1913, as amended by an ordinance passed by the
Board of Commissioners July 29, 1918, relating to the salary of
the Secretary of the City Attorney, be, and the same is hereby
amended so as to read as follows:
Section 838. Secretary to City Attorney. The
Board of Commissioners shall employ a suitable person as
secretary to the City Attorney at a salary not exceeding
1440.00 per annum, payable monthly.
SECTION II. In the opinion of the Board of Commission-
ers it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the City
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION III. This ordinance :shall take effect im-
mediately upon publication.
