AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TA1 and for the assessment of proper-
ty in Curb & Gutter Districts Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension
No. 24 ) for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and gutter-

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah.
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Curb & Gutter Districts
Nos. 24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 24) for the purpose of

and across streets and intersections, constructing private driveways
and storm sewers, to-wit:
Lots 1, 3 and 4 of Blk. 54; Lots 1 to 4 incl. of Blks.
55, 57, 58 and 59; Lots 2, 3 and 4 of Blk. 56; Lots 1, 2 and 4 of
Blk. 82; Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Blk. 84; Lots 1 and 2 of Blk. 83 and
Lots 1 to 10 incl., of Cookers Sub. of Blk. 83, all in Plat D,
Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of 4th and 5th Avenues
from Y to N Ste. and both sides of L and M Streets from 3d to 6th
Avenues.
This tax is levied to defray the expanse of grading, curb-

ways and storm sewers (said grading to be thirty-six (36) feet)
between ,curbs), the portion of said street opposite the property
hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected
and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged,
determined and established that said property will be especially
benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied,
and said parcels of land are hereby assessed. at an equal and uni-
form rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said
portions of said street, fronting upon and to the entire depth
back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed
upon said parcels of land is Twenty-four Thousand Seven Hundred
Sixty and 08/100 ($24,760.08)dollars; Twenty-one Thousand Eight

Hundred Eighty-two and 08/100 (021,88C.08) dollars or Two and
78/100 (02.78) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting pro-
perty for thirty-six foot roadway, there being 7871.25 feet of
abutting property within the boundaries of the Lots, blocks and
street above mentioned in said districts; Eight Hundred Fourteen
(0814.00) dollars for private driveways, there being twenty-two
(22) private driveways at Thirty-seven (037.00) dollars for each
private driveway; Two Thousand Sixty-four (02064.00) dollars for
private driveways, there being forty-three (43) private driveways
at Forty-eight (048.00) dollars for each private driveway, which
is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said improve-
ment, according to the contract entered into for the performance
of said work and making said improvement with Moran Paving Company

authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the pro-

equalization and Review of the property described in Section I

24 and 30 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 24) of Salt Lake City,
or the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and gutter-

'n constructing drainage system to carry water along and
=cross streets and intersections, constructing private driveways
xInd storm sewers upon said portion of said streets, is hereby
.onfirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said completed
lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review
o the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby
fatified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in five equal
pearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with in-
erest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per
.nnum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the event
. y installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day

the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid
at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become
due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve
per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
