AN ORDINANCE LEVYIING A TAX and for the assessment of
property in Paving District io. 32 (Curb & Gutter Extension Do.
48) for the purpose of providing for the curbing and guttering.
Be it ordained by the Board of commissioners of oalt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District
No. 32 (Curb & Gutter Extension NO. 48) for the purpose of provid-
ing for the grading, constructing concrete curb and gutter and
private driveways, to-wit:
In Lots 56 to 103 incl. of Block 2, Lots 1 to 21
incl.of Blk. 3, of Lincoln Bark Sub. of Blk. 16-A, Five
-acre Plat "A", and Lots 7 and 16 of Block 16-A, five Acre
Plat "A'r, abutting on both sides of Roosevelt Avenue from
llth East Street to 13th East Street.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading,
curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing private
driveways, said grading to be thirty* (30) feet between curbs with
twenty-four (24) inoh gutter on both sides of Roosevelt Avenue
from the east side of 11th .East Street to 13th 3ast Street, the
portion of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and
hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by
said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab-

lished that said property will be especially benefited thereby to
the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of la

are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance wi h
the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street, front
upon and to the entire depth back therefrom, and the tax hereby
levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Six Thousa
Two Hundred Seven and 06/100 46,207.06) Dollars; Five Thousand
jdix Hundred Forty-seven and 06/100 (05,647.06) Dollars or One and
89/100 41.89) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting pro-
perty for thirty .(30) foot roadway, there being 2987.86 feet of
abutting property, and Five Hundred Sixty and 00/100 4560.00)
Dollars for private driveways, there being fourteen (14) private
driveways at Forty and 00/100 (: 40.00) Dollars per driveway; vatic
is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said im-
provement, according to the contract entered into for the perform
dance of said work and making said improvement with J. L. Griffith

Company, dated the 3rd day of June, 1924, and the City Treasurer
is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with
the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mention- .

The North side of Lots 56 to 103 incl. of Blk. 2, the
South side of Lots 1 to 21 incl. of silk. 3, of Lincoln Yark Sub.;
the south side of the north 55 feet of the west 350 feet of Lot
16, the south side of the north 55 feet of the east 394 feet of
Lot 16,; and commencing at the B.W. corner of Lot 77, Blk. 2, Lin-
coln Yark dub., running thence west 74.43 ft., being a part of
jlLot 7; commencing at the S.F. corner of Lot 2, Blk. 3, Lincoln
Yark Sub., running thence west 73.93 ft., being a part of Lot 7;
all of Block l6- Five acre Flat :., Big Yield Survey.

SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
!Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of
;this ordinance in Paving District No. 3? (Curb & Gutter Extension
No. 48) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for the
grading, curbing and guttering with concrete and constructing pri-.
vase driveways upon said portion of said street, is hereby confirmF-
Led, and the assessments made and returned in said completed limts,l
and the report of the Board of Equalization and 3eview to the Boar
of Commissioners of Salt Lake City are hereby ratified, approved
and confirmed.
SECTION 3. said tax shall be payable in five equal yearlir
installments as provided by law and ordinance withh interest on the
%whole sum unpaid at the rate of, six per cent per annum, payable ati
!the time each installment is due. In the event any installment or
the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due
the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said instal -
"went and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall
draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until the
sale of the property assessed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect one day aftet
hits publication.
