An Ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property within the district described as follows: Beginning at the center Of the intersection of Third South and Fourth West Streets; thence north to the north line of First North Street; thence east to the east line of Third West Street; thence north to the south line of Second North Street; thence east to the center of Second. West Street; thence south to the center line of First North Street; thence east to the center line of State Street; thence south to the north line of South Temple Street; thence west to the east line of First West Street; thence south to the center line of Third South Street; thence west to the center line of Fourth West Street, the place of beginning. Also on both sides of Second West Street, from Fifth North Street to a point three hundred and thirty (330) feet north of Seventh North Street, except where sidewalks are laid or, streets are vacated by ordinance to railroads, in Sidewalk Districts Fos. 5, 11, 19 and 20, for the construction of cement sidewalks. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 65; Lots 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 98; Lots 1, 2 and 8, Block 62; Lots 1., 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, Block 97; Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 84; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 87 Block 79; Lots 1, 4, 5 and 8, Block 66; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 61; Lot 1, Block 156; Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 151; Lots 1 and 8, Block 138; Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 133; Lots 1 and 8, Block 120; Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 115; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8, Block 102; Lot 4, Block 157; Lots 4 and 5, Block 150; in part of the southeast quarter of Section 25, township 1 north, range 1 west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian; Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 139; Lots 1, 4, 5 and 8, Block 78; Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 67; Lots 4 and 5, Block 60; Lots 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 96; Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5 Block 77; Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 59; Lots 4 and 5, Block 94; part -9- of the southwest quarter of Section 31, Township 1 n:)rth, range 1 e east, Salt Lake Base and Meridian; Lots 1 and 2, Block 101; Lots 5 and 6, Block 95; Lots 5 and 6, Block 93; Lots 5 and I, Block 85; Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 86; Lots 5 and 6, Block 87; and Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 88, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on the east side of Fourth West Street between First South and Second South Streets;9n the west side of Third West Street between North Temple and First North Streets, and between First South and Third South Streets; on the east side of Third West Street between First North and Third South Streets; on the west side of Second West Street between First North and Ei.rhth North Streets, and between South Temple and Third South Streets; on the east side of Second West Street between Fifth North and Eighth North Streets, and between South Temple and Third South Streets; on the west side of First West Street between North Temple and First North Streets, between South Temple and First South Streets, and between Second South and Third South Streets; on the east side of First West Street between South Temple and First South Streets, and between Second South and Third South Streets; on the north side of First North Street between Seoond West and Fourth West Streets; on the south side of First North Street between State and East Temple Streets, and between West Temple and Fourth West Streets; on the east side of West Temple Street between North Temple and First North Streets; on the north side of North Temple Street between First West and Third West Streets; on the south side of North Temple Street between State and Third West Streets; and on the north side of Third South Street between Third West and Fourth West Streets, in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 5, 11, 19 and 20, said property having a frontage of 29,362.64 feet along said streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing cement sidewalks on said portions of said streets opposite the property -3- hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab- lished that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting up- on and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is twenty-nine thousand throe hundred sixty-two and 64/100 ($29,362.64) dollars, or one ($1.00) dollar per front or linear foot, which is the estimated total cost and estimated cost per linear foot of said sidewalks, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess 54 in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: Fronting on Fourth West Street: All of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 65, Plat "A". Fronting on Third West Street: All of Lots 1 and 8, Block 98; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 and. 8, Block 65; all of Lots 1 and 8, Block 62; all of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 97; all of Lots 4 and 5, Block 84; all of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 79; all of Lots 4 and 5y Block 66; all of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 61; all of Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 61, Plat "A". Fronting on Second West Street: All of Lot 1, Block 156; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 151; all of Lots 1 and 8, Block 138; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 --nd 8, Block 133; all of Lots 1 and 8, Block 120; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 115; all of Lots 1 and 8, Block 102; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 79; all of Lots 1 and 8, Block 66; all of Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 61; all of Lot 4, Block 157; ad all of Lots 4 and 5, Block 150, Plat "A", -4- Part of the southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 1 north, range 1 west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Fronting on West Temple Street: All of Lots 4 and 5, Block 94, Plat "A". Fronting on State Street: Part of the southwest quarter of Section 31, Township el north, range 1 east, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Fronting on First North Street: All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 101; all of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 102; all of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 98; all of Lots 5 and 6, Block 97; all of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 96; all of Lots 5 and. 6, Block 95; all of Lots 5 and 6, Block 93, Plat "A". Part of the southwest quarter of Section 31, Township 1 north, Range 1 east, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Fronting on North Tenple Street: All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 97; all of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 96; all of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 84; all of Lots 5 and 6, Block 85; all of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 86; all of Lots 5 and 6, Block 87; all of Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 88, Plat "A". Part of the southwest quarter of Section 31, Township 1 north, Range 1 east, Salt Lake 'base and Meridian. -5- Fronting on Third South Street: All of Lots 1 and 2, Block 62, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to col- lect said tax. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and he delinquent in six (6) equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall be- oome delinquent one month after the approval of this ordinance; one- sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth thereof in two years after such approval; one-,sixth thereof in three years af- ter such approval; one-sixth thereof in four years after such appro- val; and one-sixth thereof in five years after such approval. Each and every installment of said tax except the first, shall draw in- terest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its date of delinquency.
