An ordinance amending Section 188 of Chapter 5 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1915, as amended by
an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners August 2,
1917.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 188 of Chapter 5 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1915, as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners August 2, 1917, be, and
the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 188. It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to engage in the business of selling,
or to sell lubricating oils, gasoline or motor spirits at
wholesale or retail without first having paid to the License
Assessor and Collector the license and inspection fee
provided for herein, as follows:
The license and inspection fee to be paid by retailer
of lubricating oils, gasoline and motor spirits, or either
of them, annually;
Wholesaler of lubricating oils, gasoline and motor
spirits, or of gasoline or motor spirits, only, 450.00
annually;
Wholesaler of lubriciK ing oils, only, 4100.00 annually.

A .retdiler is defined to be one who sells to the
pudic, geneally.
Anwholesaler is defined to be one who sells to retail
dealers in quantity.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty-one
days after its passage.
