AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 2-1-2, 2-1-4, 2-1-6 and 2-1-10 of Chapter.
1 of Title 2, relating to aeronautics, with definitions and statement of
scope of the title, by changing the name of Salt Lake City Municipal Airport
wherever said name appears in said chapter and substituting therefor the
name of Salt Lake City International Airport and designating the terminal
on the east side of said airport as "Executive Terminal".
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 2-1-2, 2-1-4, 2-1-6 and 2-1-10 of Chapter 1
of Title 2, relating to aeronautics, with definitions and statement of
scope of the title, by changing the name of Salt Lake City Municipal Airport
wherever said name appears in said chapter and substituting therefor the
name of Salt Lake City International Airport and designating the terminal
on the east side of said airport as "Executive Terminal", be, and the same
hereby are, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 2-1-2. Name, scope of ordinance. The airport areas
and facilities owned and operated by Salt Lake City, heretofore
known as 'Salt Lake City Municipal Airport', is hereby renamed
and designated as 'Salt Lake City International Airport' . The
rules, regulations, prohibitions and mandates of this title shall
be applied to all flights over the municipal limits of Salt Lake
City as well as to all navigation over, all take offs and landings
at all landing fields, unless the context of a section clearly
requires that it is intended to be applicable only to the Salt
Lake City International Airport located four miles west of the
downtown business section of Salt Lake City, commonly designated
as Airport No. 1, in which event such section shall be applicable
to said airport and inapplicable elsewhere. The terminal on the
east side of said airport is hereby designated as 'Executive
Terminal'.
"Sec. 2-1-4. Airport. 'Airport' shall mean and have reference
to all of the areas comprising the Salt Lake City International
Airport, as now exist or as may hereafter be expanded and exist,
together with all appurtenant facilities. A territorial division
thereof may be designated by number.
"Sec. 2-1-6. Airport manager. 'Airport manager' shall mean
the duly appointed and qualified manager of the Salt Lake City
International Airport, selected and;appointed by the board of
commissioners of Salt Lake City.

"Sec. 2-1-10. Air traffic. 'Air traffic' shall mean aircraft
in operation anywhere in the air space above and on the surface
of that area embraced by the Salt Lake City International Air-
port, and normally used for the movement of aircraft."
