Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Chapter 33 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City of 1913, by adding a new section in said
chapter to be known as Section 866x1, relating to license of
public markets.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 33 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City of 1913, be, and the same is hereby amended by
adding a new section in said chapter to be known as Section
866x1, relating to license of public markets, said new section
to read as follows:
SECTION 866x1. It shall be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to operate, maintain or carry on business
as a public market without first having paid a license fee
in the sum of 425.00 per annum for each stall therein, said
license fee to be paid for a year or any part thereof.
It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy any stall
or division in a public market unless the license fee
provided for herein shall have been paid either by himself
or by the person, firm or corporation operating or in charge
of said market.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this sec-
tion, shall upon cgnviot4gn thereof, be punished by a fine

in any ,sum-not exceeding 0100.00, or by imprisonment in the
City *.i1 foi' a period not longer than thirty days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment. r',aoh day's operation without
license shall be construed as to be a separate and distinct
offense.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to the
Municipal Market conducted by Salt Lake City.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of0Commissioners it
is necessary to tho peace and safety of the City that.,this
ordinance shall become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
